Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society, here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, but it is all about preparation.
First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.
The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ then went on to give them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
World’s First ‘Inter-Religious’ University Concludes its First Semester. The Christian Post reports that a Southern California academic institution that prides itself on being “the world’s first inter-religious university” has completed its first semester. Claremont Lincoln University, once a Methodist seminary, has decided to add other religious schools to its program, including most recently several Eastern religions. In June 2010, Claremont School of Theology’s president, the Reverend Jerry Campbell, announced the seminary will be partnering with Jewish and Islamic schools to offer training to seminarians of various faiths. By late 2011, Claremont Lincoln further expanded its interfaith campus to include Eastern religious views such as Buddhism and Jainism.
In the past few years, we have seen an increase in these types of activities among Christians — Pastors inviting Muslim imams to preach from their pulpits, Christians who say that there is more than one way to get to God, denominations such as the Universalists who say everyone eventually goes to Heaven, as well as a recent movement which some people call ‘Chrislam’.
Ben Rast of Contender Ministries writes that “According to Bible prophecy, there will be a great apostasy from Christ’s church. This apostasy will occur before the rapture, the tribulation, and the rise of Antichrist, and will involve a departing from the faith by those who call themselves Christians.” Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” Apostasy is defined as “a defection from the truth,” or “a departing from that which was given at first.” Andy Woods of Spirit and Truth Minstries states that “Apostasy is another sign, often taking place right under our noses, which we fail to recognize as a sign of the end. Apostasy is the specific scriptural sign given indicating that the church is nearing the completion of her earthly mission.”
After 821 Days, Iranian Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani Remains Imprisoned. According to the American Center for Law & Justice, Iranian judges promised that by mid-December 2011, if Iran’s Supreme Leader did not respond to their court’s request for comment, they would publish a written decision on the apostasy charges made against Pastor Youcef. Neither the court nor the Supreme Leader has issued anything, leaving the Pastor languishing in an Iranian prison – a violation of Iranian and international law.
Jesus Christ said that in the last days believers should be prepared for persecution. He said in Matthew 24:9 that they “shall deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.” Thankfully, Pastor Youcef is still alive right now. As Christians, we should not forget what this pastor has endured for the sole reason that he refuses to renounce his faith.

In closing, let’s consider what God wants you to do in light of His Second Coming.
One of the things God wants us to do in light of His second coming is Faithfully Attend and Participate in a Local Bible Believing Church.
Listen to what God has to say about this important subject in Hebrews 10: 23-26: “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
Strangely, there are many dear people who feel that they can miss church or be irregular to the House of God, and still be fully blessed of the Lord. Folks, the simple fact of the matter is that we cannot be blessed of the Lord if we choose to disobey the Lord. Sadly, many people make up all kinds of excuses to miss church, not realizing that it is no one but the devil trying to keep them from the House of God. Friend, don’t let the “green-eyed monster” fool you. The House of God is the place of blessing and power. You can rest assured that God wants you in church every time the church doors are open in obedience to His Word for your benefit.
Now, if you are listening to this broadcast and you do not know Jesus Christ as your saviour, God wants you to accept Jesus Christ before He returns. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Friend of mine, if you are willing to trust Christ as your Savior today, please pray with me the following prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Amen.
Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
