Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, however it is all about preparation.
First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.
The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ then went on to give them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Former Israeli leader says a missile strike on Israel is preferable to a nuclear Iran. According to Ynet News, a former top Israeli official says Iran’s possible reaction to an Israeli strike on its nuclear facilities would include a missile salvo on the greater Tel Aviv area, thousand of rockets fired at northern Israel, terror attacks against Israeli targets overseas, scores of Israeli casualties and countless others in bomb shelters. The former official who spoke anonymously with Israeli news agency, Yed-i-oth Ah-ron-oth, said “Forty missiles fired at Israel are no small matter – but it’s better that a nuclear Iran.” The New York Times said that the assessment is based on the premise that while Iran would aspire to meet any strike with force, it would prefer not to ignite a regional war.
Hamas Launches Rocket Attack on Israel Amid Winter Storm. According to Israel National News, with rain, sleet and freezing temperatures curbing visibility on Israel’s highways, Hamas terrorists launched a rocket attack on southern coastal towns. The Color Red rocket alert siren blared its warning in between cracks of thunder, sending residents in the Ashkelon Coastal Region district racing for cover. According to the Home Front Command website, “the time frame for going into the protected space in this area, from the moment the alarm sounds, is 30 seconds.” Twenty-one communities are listed in the region.
The Bible says in Zechariah 12:8-9, “In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.”
Ben Bernanke warns U.S. lawmakers that country is headed for a ‘massive fiscal cliff’. According to The Hill, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke warned lawmakers that Congress risks taking the U.S. economy over a “massive fiscal cliff.” In remarks that hit Wall Street stock prices, the central bank boss suggested the economy could hit a serious roadblock if Congress allows the Bush tax rates and a payroll tax cut to expire and $1.2 trillion in spending cuts to be implemented simultaneously in January 2013. Bernanke, who has long advised policymakers to rein in the deficit, called again for a “credible plan” to reassure markets that the nation is repairing its finances. He said that failure to do so could trigger another financial crisis and a sharply higher interest rate, as is happening in Europe.

Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.
Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.
Today, we are at part 3 of a new series titled “The Church and the Tribulation” from John MacArthur’s book “The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.” Our subject for today is titled “The Inadequacy of the Posttribulational and Midtribulational Views”. MacArthur writes the following on this subject:
The posttribulational view is inadequate because it violates the nature of the church, the nature of the Tribulation, and the nature of the Second Coming. It wipes out the imminent return of Christ, so we’re looking for Antichrist instead. It removes the greatest motive for purity in the Christian life: the knowledge that Jesus could come at any moment. And it ignores the fact that nowhere in the Bible is the true church seen in the Tribulation.
Now, not too many people hold to the midtribulational view, but it is an interesting one. The problem with it is that it can’t be supported. It has three basic supports, but I’m only going to give you the best one…which isn’t very good.
The major support of this view centers around the trumpet of I Thessalonians 4:16, the last trump of I Corinthians 15:52, and the seventh trumpet of Revelation 11:15. They say that the last trump is equal to the seventh trumpet. If that’s the case, we’ve got to be around for the first six trumpets, as well as the first six seals. So, the church remains during the seals and exits at the seventh trumpet, which they believe happens at the midpoint of the tribulation.
Dr. John Walvoord has a good answer for this argument. At Dallas Theological Seminary, there are a series of warning bells that sound before a class is to begin — and then there is the final bell. When the professor says, “That is the last bell,” he doesn’t mean that it is the last bell that will ever sound. He just means that it is the last bell in the series of bells having to do with a specific class. To equate such a statement with an ultimate bell — the last bell to ever be rung — doesn’t make any sense.
The point is, there can be a last trump for the church and seven trumpets for Israel in the Tribulation — and there’s no reason to connect them. There have always been trumpets in connection with God summoning His people. Trumpets were blown throughout the history of Israel, trumpets will be blown at the conclusion of the church, and trumpets will be blown in the judgment of the earth. They don’t have to be the same trumpets. That’s a very arbitrary connection — but it’s the best the midtribulationalists can do.
I’m convinced that when you study the three views carefully, you have to come to the conclusion that the pretribulational view is the most accurate, and the church will be raptured before the Tribulation begins.
In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.
God wants us to engage successfully in spiritual warfare in the last days. In light of that, we are beginning a new series on Spiritual Warfare. Today, we will answer the question, “What is spiritual warfare?”
According to End Times Preparation at www.endtimespreparation.com:
Warfare takes place every day, in our everyday life. It is something that happens for most of us without any awareness at all.
What the Warfare is NOT
Spiritual warfare is not shouting and hollering threats at demons or waving swords or flags or marching around sanctuaries or buildings. It is not emotionally demanding that Satan or his demons do what we command them to do. Because this has happened all too often in the church, spiritual warfare has taken a bad rap. Practical information on spiritual warfare will be a guide for us when we encounter some of this stuff.
What the Warfare IS
When we experience inner hurt or have broken relationships, or when we experience pain in the depths of our heart, we are facing a spiritual battle that will intensify in the last days and that has to be won to keep from becoming negative, resentful or worse.
The enemy will try to set up situations to drag us down in a spiritual battle. A key battle that we face everyday is to stay positive, upbeat and focused on Christ.
When you go somewhere, such as to work, and that place has a negative spiritual climate and the attitudes of people are negative or even hostile, you know how uncomfortable and unpleasant that kind of environment is — this is spiritual warfare.
When we are tempted to be dishonest, to lust, to eat too much, or do other things that we should not do, we are engaged in spiritual warfare, whether we know it or not.
Those things that the Bible identifies as the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life have been set up for us by the enemy. Just as Satan and his demons used these very same areas to tempt Christ in the desert, so he uses them to tempt us — this is true spiritual warfare.
Now, if you are listening to this broadcast and you do not know Jesus Christ as your saviour, God wants you to accept Jesus Christ before He returns. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Friend of mine, if you are willing to trust Christ as your Savior today, please pray with me the following prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Amen.
Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
