Some are saying that unusual weather in Israel points to the end of the world. According to the Washington Post, big snowflakes fell in Jerusalem on Friday, blanketing the holy city in white for the first time in four years. The snow then turned to rain, sleet, and hail for the fourth straight day. And more cold and stormy weather is predicted for the Holy Land this weekend. Temperatures in Jerusalem are expected to drop to freezing which is highly unusual in this sunny Mediterranean climate. Winds have exceeded 65 miles an hour in some parts of the country. Trees were uprooted in the coastal city of Tel Aviv. And flooding was expected in the south of the country. One reporter stated, that this kind of weather is “just not normal here. Israel is a place known for its sunshine — 300 days a year — not this persistent, insistent rain, sleet, wind and storms…Hail and snow feature high on the type of weather that apocalyptic believers say is likely to come with any end of our age. Floods and storms ravaging the land also play big roles in eschatology.”
The Bible says in Luke 21:25: “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring.”
Job 38:22-23 says, “Have you entered the storehouses of snow or seen the storehouses of hail, which I reserve for times of trouble, for days of war and battle.”

According to The Guardian, Israel is to test an advanced anti-ballistic missile system in the coming weeks, inevitably fuelling speculation about preparations for a possible military confrontation with Iran. The announcement that the first test of the Arrow 3 interceptor system would be performed “in the near future” was made as the Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, flew to the US ahead of a crucial meeting with President Barack Obama at which Iran will top the agenda.
President Obama cautions against “a premature attack” on Iran. According to DEBKAfile, in a widely reported interview to The Atlantic, US President Barack Obama held to the line which he claimed “the Israelis share” that “Iran does not yet have a nuclear weapon and is not yet in a position to obtain a nuclear weapon without us having a pretty long lead time…” He went on to reiterate the effectiveness of diplomatic pressure and economic sanctions on Iran’s regime.
The Bible says in Deuteronomy 33:29: “O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and the sword of thy excellency! Thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.”
