Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, however it is all about preparation.
First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.
The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ then went on to give them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
An Algerian Christian awaits appeal decision after sharing his faith with Muslims. According to Mission News Network, An Algerian Christian was sentenced to five years in prison for “shaking the faith” of Muslims last May. Currently, “Kadar” is awaiting a decision on his appeal. Kadar, who regularly shares his faith with Muslims in the city of Oran, was discussing his belief in Christ with a man at an outdoor food court last May when the man became angry and accused Kadar of insulting Muhammad. Police arrested Kadar and found a large amount of Christian materials in his apartment. After Kadar was convicted, the judge gave him the maximum sentence of five years in prison even though the prosecutor had recommended a lesser sentence. Kadar is now out on bail awaiting the decision.
U.S. president promises to stand by Israel. According to Ynet News, in Obama’s first appearance as president at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, he said the world must never again allow hatred to take root into the “madness” of mass atrocities. He promised the U.S. would “always be there for Israel” and that his country would continue to oppose any efforts to attack the Jewish state. He said, “When attempts are made to de-legitimize the state of Israel, we oppose them. And when faced with a regime that threatens global security and denies the Holocaust and threatens to destroy Israel, the United States will do everything in our power to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.”
Mysterious cyber attack hits Iranian oil data. According to Israel National News, Iran has confirmed that a cyber attack hit its Oil Ministry data systems. It claims there was no damage, but the National Iranian Oil Company website was offline. Oil ministry spokesman Ali-re-za Nik-zad told the government-run Fars News Agency, “This cyber attack has not damaged the main data of the oil ministry and the National Iranian Oil Company since the general servers are separate from the main servers; even their cables are not linked to each other and are not linked to Internet service. He said the virus was identified as “Viper” and was aimed at deleting data off the servers. The attack was focused on the Kharg Island oil export terminal, where 2.2 million barrels of crude oil are transferred every day.

Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.
Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.
Our topic for today is titled “The Expectation of Scoffers” from John MacArthur’s book “The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.” MacArthur writes the following on this subject.
In II Peter 3:3-4, Peter says this: “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming?” These people will mock the fact that Jesus said he would return. But whatever men say, Jesus is coming back! At this point, even the scoffers are admitting that the whole world is in a state of fearful expectation. Men walk on egg shells aware of the possibility of doom; and people are prophesying the end of the world, though they are not too sure about how it is going to come. Books, articles, and pamphlets are being written warning that if man does not change the way he is living, he is going to go out of existence.
For example, people are saying:
1. Pollution will get us and we’ll all gag to death, or…
2. Earthquakes will get us and we’ll topple into oblivion, or…
3. Population growth will get us and we’ll crush each other to death, or…
4. Bombs will get us and we’ll burn to death in nuclear fire, or…
5. Famine will get us and we’ll starve to death, or…
6. War will get us and we’ll kill each other off, or…
7. Materialism will be our doom and we’ll just spend ourselves out of existence, or…
8. Loneliness will get us and we’ll just kill ourselves… or so it goes!
How will it all really end? Can we know? Yes. The Bible gives us a very clear and direct answer. The present world as we know it will end in the return of Jesus Christ. The history of the world will climax in the literal, bodily, physical return of Jesus to earth.
In Acts 1:10-11, two angels appeared when Jesus ascended into heaven and said to those gathered there: “Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” In other words, just as Jesus physically and literally left, He will physically and literally come again.
In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.
God wants us to share the message of the Gospel with those around us. In light of that, we are at the third part of our series titled ‘How to gain a passion for winning souls’.
According to S. Michael Houdmann:
In these challenging times we certainly don’t have to look far to see many in despair, and yet even in the midst of this chaos, Christians can find solace in God’s Word. If a Christian finds himself in one of life’s trials, for example, he knows our sovereign Lord either put him there or is allowing him to be there. Either way, the Christian can make sense of this turmoil by realizing God has a purpose for our trial for we know that “all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”.
Further, if life occasionally doesn’t make sense to us, that’s okay for we know to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and to not rely on our understanding of a situation as the Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6. Enduring life’s hardships that inevitably come our way is a lot easier when we know that God is in control. Having a solid trust in God and knowing that he is in control will stir up the soul-winning flame in our hearts.

Now, if you are listening to this broadcast and you do not know Jesus Christ as your saviour, God wants you to accept Jesus Christ before He returns. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Friend of mine, if you are willing to trust Christ as your Savior today, please pray with me the following prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Amen.
Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
