Breaking Prophecy News; Why Jesus Must Return to Earth (Part 2) (#95)

Complete Broadcast Text

Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, however it is all about preparation.
First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.

The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ then went on to give them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Israel says Iran could order Hezbollah to strike Israel. According to the AFP, Lebanon’s Hezbollah may not want a new war with Israel but an order to attack would come from Tehran in the event of a strike on Iran. A senior military official in Israel’s northern command said that should another conflict break out between Israel and the Shiite terrorist group, it would be “much faster” than the 34-day war of 2006. Any military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities would likely spark a deadly response from its ally Hezbollah, whose leader Hassan Nasrallah warned on Friday that its missiles could strike anywhere inside the Jewish state. But senior military officials do not believe Nasrallah wants another war with Israel and would only attack as a direct result of orders from Tehran.

The Bible says in Matthew 24:6: “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”

Iran is boasting that the United States has abandoned Israel. According to World Net Daily, Iranian outlets have been claiming recently that the United States has been forced to bow before Iran on its nuclear program, demonstrating the West’s abandonment of Israel and paving the way for the Islamic regime to annihilate the Jewish state. While restating that Iran will demand ever more in the upcoming second round of talks with the 5+1 nations to be held this month in Baghdad, the Iranian media are now boasting that Israel has been abandoned by its allies and is in a dire bind.

More young people are rejecting traditional religious beliefs. According to Voice of America News, college campuses are among the least religious places in America, largely because people tend to drift away from faith when they are young. But a study focusing on 18-to-24-year-old Americans finds many rejecting religious doctrine and orthodoxy in general. Findings of the Millennial Values Survey, a joint survey of the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI), and Georgetown University’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace & World Affairs, indicate that many of the youngest millennials — members of the so called “millennial generation” — are leaving their childhood faith and ending up mostly unaffiliated. Dr. Robert Jones, PRRI’s CEO, said “Basically all the varieties of Christian religion are in negative territories,” adding that Catholics and mainline Protestants saw the largest losses away from childhood religious identification.

The Bible says in 1 Timothy 4:1: “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”

Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.

Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.

Our topic for today is titled “Why Jesus Must Return to Earth (Part 2)” from John MacArthur’s book “The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.” MacArthur writes the following on this subject:

Notice that the faithful servant we talked about yesterday is contrasted by the unfaithful servant in verse 45 of Luke 12: “But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken…” In other words, Jesus says that there are some people who, when the lord goes away, are going to be unfaithful with the obligation and trust committed to them. These are the ones who don’t live in the light of the return, but instead scoff and say, “Oh, my lord delays his coming…maybe he’ll never come.” Unfaithful, they throw off the robe of stewardship and begin to misuse everything. They push around their fellow servants according to their own whims, they indulge themselves in the food and drink of their master and even get drunk — wastefully taking that which is not theirs to take and not supplying others as they should.

In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.

God wants us to be active and engaged in spiritual warfare in the last days. In light of that, please listen to what Dr. David Jeremiah writes in his book titled “I Never Thought I’d See the Day”. The title of this section is “When Christian’s Wouldn’t Know They Were in a War (Part 4) — Knowing Our Enemy”.

In Ephesians 6:12, the apostle Paul gives a detailed analysis of our foes: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

John Phillips, formerly of Moody Bible Institute, notes how these dark, invisible forces operate in the tangible world: “Our enemies are not people. We must see beyond people. Satan may use people to persecute us, lie to us, cheat us, hurt us, or even kill us. But our real enemy lurks in the shadows of the unseen world, moving people as pawns on the chessboard of time. As long as we see people as enemies and wrestle against them, we will spend our strength in vain.”

In order to know our enemy, we must understand how Satan goes about accomplishing his purposes. I paged through the Bible, writing down verbs describing his activity. Satan beguiled, seduces, opposes, resists, deceives, sows terror, hinders, buffets, tempts, persecutes, blasphemes and more. There are no edifying verbs associated with Satan. His determined goal is to diminish and deface the glory of God. And in pursuit of that goal he is utterly deceitful, divisive, and destructive.

CLOSING PRAYER
…….

Now, if you are listening to this broadcast and you do not know Jesus Christ as your saviour, God wants you to accept Jesus Christ before He returns. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Friend of mine, if you are willing to trust Christ as your Savior today, please pray with me the following prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Amen.

Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”

Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
