Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, however it is all about preparation.
First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.
The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ then went on to give them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The formation of an EU superstate with Germany in charge may be just around the corner. According to the Daily Mail, European leaders are edging closer to a federal union in response to the financial crisis engulfing the Continent. In crisis talks yesterday, Britain and the US joined forces to urge Germany to create a central Brussels body that could assume sovereignty over individual countries’ budgets and fiscal policies. There is growing frustration in London and Washington at Germany’s reluctance to take steps towards a single economic government and put its vast resources behind the struggling countries in the eurozone. German Chancellor Angela Merkel confirmed this week that measures to create a closer union for countries in the euro were being considered. She said, “The world wants to know how we see the political union in complement to the currency union. That requires an answer in the foreseeable future and Germany will be a very constructive partner.”
World Health Organization says untreatable gonorrhea is spreading around the world. According to Reuters, the United Nations health agency said on Wednesday that drug-resistant strains of gonorrhea have spread to countries across the world and millions of patients may run out of treatment options unless doctors catch and treat cases earlier. Scientists reported last year finding a “superbug” strain of gonorrhea in Japan in 2008 that was resistant to all recommended antibiotics and warned then that it could transform once easily treatable infections into a global health threat. The World Health Organisation (WHO) said those fears are now reality with many more countries, including Australia, France, Norway, Sweden and Britain, reporting cases of the sexually transmitted disease resistant to antibiotics — which is normally the last option for drugs against gonorrhea.
Locust swarms are moving through North Africa. According to The Financial Times, The Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations warned that croplands in Niger and Mali were at imminent risk from locust swarms moving south from Libya and Algeria. Desert locusts have the capacity to destroy vast areas of croplands. During a plague, a swarm can stretch for several hundred square kilometres comprising billions of locusts, each capable of eating its own weight in food a day. A 2003 – 2005 plague affected farmers in two dozen countries, mainly in Africa, and cost more than $500 million to bring under control. Desert locust swarms formed in Libya and Algeria in mid-May, after good rains and the resultant growth of vegetation on which they feed. The first swarms have already been sighted in northern Niger, which is currently experiencing a food crisis.

Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.
Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.
Our topic for today is titled “A Closer Look at God’s Program for Israel (part 2)” from John MacArthur’s book “The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.” MacArthur writes the following on this subject:
As we continue looking at God’s plan for Israel during the end times, let’s look at three passages in the book of Isaiah that speak toward this.
Isaiah 2:1-3 says: “The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”
Where is Christ going to be during the Kingdom? In Jerusalem! The program for Israel demands that Jesus return to earth.
Isaiah 11 contains many earthly features to the Kingdom that demand Christ’s literal return to earth.
Isaiah 59:20-21 says: “And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord. As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.”
The Lord is going to literally return to Zion and grant His Spirit on earth.
In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.
God wants us to be aware that we are in a spiritual battle. In light of that, please listen to what Dr. David Jeremiah writes in his book titled “I Never Thought I’d See the Day”. The title of this section is “When Christians Wouldn’t Know They Were in a War (Part 21) — Knowing Our Armor”.
Now that we know the nature of our adversary, we need to get acquainted with the nature of our armor. In Ephesians chapter 6 we are told that God has given us the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. If we add to this list the weapon of “all prayer”, which is mentioned in Ephesians 6:18, we discover that we have been given five pieces of defensive armor and two powerful weapons with which to fight the spiritual battle.
Although time will not permit me to deal with each of these implements of spiritual warfare, I can summarize their effectiveness by pointing out that, taken together, they represent nothing less than Christ Himself. The armor is Christ. This becomes clear when we compare Paul’s words in two passages: In Ephesians 6 Paul tells us to put on the whole armor of God. In Romans 13:14 he says something too similar to be coincidental: “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Paul is telling us to wear Christ as we wear a suit of spiritual armor — the armor of light as he calls it in Romans 13:12. The verses in Ephesians describe seven pieces of armor and give us a commentary on the words I’ve quoted from Romans. When we put on the armor, we are putting on Christ and going forward in His strength to do the battle.

CLOSING PRAYER
…….
Now, if you are listening to this broadcast and you do not know Jesus Christ as your saviour, God wants you to accept Jesus Christ before He returns. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Friend of mine, if you are willing to trust Christ as your Savior today, please pray with me the following prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Amen.
Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
