Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, however it is all about preparation.
First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.
The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ then went on to give them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
U.S. Navy develops ship it hopes will counter a rising China. According to the Associated Press, a super-stealthy warship that could underpin the U.S. Navy’s China strategy will be able to sneak up on coastlines virtually undetected and pound targets with electromagnetic “railguns”. With the first of the new ships set to be delivered in 2014, the stealth destroyer is being heavily promoted by the Pentagon as the most advanced destroyer in history. It has been called a perfect fit for what Washington now considers the most strategically important region in the world — Asia and the Pacific. Though it could come in handy elsewhere, like in the Gulf region, its ability to carry out missions both on the high seas and in shallows closer to shore is especially important in Asia because of the region’s many island nations and China’s long Pacific coast.
Russia is planning to help Iran build a second nuclear reactor. According to World Net Daily, As Russian President Vladimir Putin prepares to meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Russia is making plans to discuss Iran’s nuclear program and provide continued support. It also intends to build another nuclear power reactor at Iran’s Bushehr plant. The first nuclear power plant at Bushehr reached 90 percent capacity during trials last month, with the intention of becoming operational by the end of this year. The second nuclear plant also will have a capacity of 1,000 megawatts, with construction to begin in the next year. While the West says that Iran’s nuclear program is a cover for making nuclear bombs and has threatened to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities, Tehran insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.
Powerful 6.1 earthquake shakes western Turkey. According to The Associated Press, officials say a quake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.1 has shaken southwestern Turkey. Turkish state TV said some people injured themselves in panic after the quake, but did not give any numbers. There were no immediate reports of casualties. The tremblor was followed by magnitude 6 and 4.9 aftershocks. Earthquakes are frequent in Turkey, much of which lies atop active fault lines.

Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.
Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.
Our topic for today is titled “Jesus Must Return to Vindicate Himself (part 1)” from John MacArthur’s book “The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.” MacArthur writes the following on this subject:
It’s inconceivable that the last view the world had of Jesus Christ — a bleeding, dying, crucified criminal, covered in blood, spit, and flies, hanging naked in the Jerusalem sky — is the last view they will ever have of Him. Don’t you believe it…that is not the last view. The world has only seen a dying, dead Jesus — not the glory He deserves. His humiliation demands that He return in exaltation. The writer of Hebrews clearly states, “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” Is He coming back? Yes… only next time He won’t come in humiliation to bear sin, He’ll come in exaltation.
Notice these verses from Psalm 22:
The first time Jesus came — “For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.”
The next time Jesus comes — “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and he is the governor among the nations.” He’s coming back in glory, isn’t He?
In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.
God wants us to be aware that we are in a spiritual battle. In light of that, please listen to what Dr. David Jeremiah writes in his book titled “I Never Thought I’d See the Day”. The title of this section is “When Christians Wouldn’t Know They Were in a War (Part 23) — Satan’s Tactic of Infiltration”.
If Satan cannot defeat us through indifference or ignorance, he will try to infiltrate our lives. When we willingly tolerate sin in our lives, we “give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:27). We have been infiltrated. We have given him a foothold, and we run the risk of being overtaken by his power. As Proverbs 6:27 asks us, “Can a man take fire to his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?”
Many modern Christians build this fire in their bosoms with their thought lives, their lifestyle choices, their tenacious clinging to pet sins, and their dabbling in dark practices like astrology and fortune-telling. And then they wonder why their Christian lives keep and burning.
A pastor in Haiti created the following parable to illustrate for his people the fatal danger of making even the tiniest compromise with Satan:
A certain man wanted to sell his house for $2,000. Another man wanted very badly to buy it, but because he was poor, he couldn’t afford the full price. After much bargaining, the owner agreed to sell the house for half the original price with just one stipulation: he would retain ownership of one small nail protruding from just over the door.
After several years, the original owner wanted the house back, but the new owner was unwilling to sell. So first the original owner went out, found the carcass of a dead dog, and hung it from the nail he still owned. Soon the house became unlivable, and the family was forced to sell the house to the owner of the nail.
The Haitian pastor told his congregation: “If we leave the Devil with even one small peg in our life, he will return to hang his rotting garbage on it, making it unfit for Christ’s habitation.” That’s infiltration. That is the kind of ruthless enemy we’re up against. Do not give him the tiniest toehold in your life. Do not open the door to your heart even a crack. Do not rationalize or excuse any failure to obey the true Lord of your life. And when failures or missteps occur, as they will, confess them immediately and be cleansed “from all unrighteousness”. The only way to protect oneself from Satan’s infiltration is to be on the side of the One who is more powerful than he is: “because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world”.
Now, if you are listening to this broadcast and you do not know Jesus Christ as your saviour, God wants you to accept Jesus Christ before He returns. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Friend of mine, if you are willing to trust Christ as your Savior today, please pray with me the following prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Amen.
Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
