Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, however it is all about preparation.
First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.
The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ then went on to give them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Israeli official considers imposing a border on Palestine. According to the New York Times, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Wednesday that Israel should consider imposing the borders of a future Palestinian state, becoming the most senior government official to suggest bypassing a stagnant peace process. Mr. Barak’s statement urging consideration of what he and many Israelis call “unilateral actions,” without offering any specifics, echoed an emerging chorus of political leaders, analysts and intellectuals who have said that Israel needs to put in effect its own settlement to the Palestinian crisis. Though the Israeli government continues to call for negotiations toward a two-state solution, the drive for a one-sided approach also received a boost from the Institute for National Security Studies, a respected research center that is close to the military and security establishment. Mr. Barak called for “an interim agreement” during a conference sponsored by the institute here. Referring to fears that Jews will become a minority in their own state, he added, “Inaction is not a possibility.”
Ahmadinejad says Iran ‘not afraid’ of an Israeli strike. According to The Jerusalem Post, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he was “not afraid” of an Israeli strike on his country’s nuclear program, in an interview with the France 24 television channel. He said that only Israel wanted to attack Iran, but that the West did not, and if the “Zionist regime” did not attack his country, “there is no problem.” Israeli officials have hinted at the possibility of an air strike against Iran’s nuclear program if ongoing negotiations between Tehran and Western powers do not lead to a deal that includes the Islamic Republic ceasing all uranium enrichment. Ahmadinejad hit back at demands that Iran stop enriching uranium to 20 percent, claiming that 20% enriched uranium was no more threatening than 3.5% enriched uranium.
The head of the UN says Syria is heading towards a ‘catastrophic civil war’. According to the AFP, UN chief Ban Ki-moon warned on Thursday that Syria risks a “catastrophic civil war” following the Houla massacre as Washington slammed Moscow over its Syria policies. Damascus rejected Ban’s warning and denied any responsibility in last week’s slaughter of 108 people, blaming “armed gangs” for the killings that have triggered international outrage. And as Syrian rebels threatened to escalate their operations if President Bashar al-Assad’s regime does not meet a 0900 GMT Friday ultimatum to observe a UN-backed ceasefire, activists called for nationwide protests. Washington’s UN envoy Susan Rice said Syria’s denials of involvement in Houla were a “blatant lie”, as she and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton slammed Russia’s policies in the crisis. Rice condemned as “reprehensible” Russian arms deliveries to Syria, after reports last week that a Russian ship carrying weapons had arrived in the Syrian port of Tartus.

Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.
Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.
Our topic for today is titled “The Increase of Famine is a Sign of Christ’s Soon Return” from John MacArthur’s book “The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.” MacArthur writes the following on this subject:
Another interesting sign of the end that Jesus Himself mentioned is in Matthew 24:7. He said this: “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” One of the signs of the end is famine. Paul Ehrlich in The Population Bomb, said this: “The battle to feed all of humanity is over. In the 1970′s and the 1980′s, hundreds of millions of people starved to death in spite of any crash programs…There are only two kinds of solutions to the problem. One is a ‘birth rate solution’ in which we find ways to lower the birth rate. The other is the ‘death rate solution’ in which ways to raise the death rate — war, famine, pestilence — find us.” According to the Scripture, that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
We’re living in a world that is facing the reality of extinction, but the Bible clearly predicts that the end of man’s days will occur when Jesus Christ returns to earth. Now one of the reasons we who are Christians believe that what the Bible says is true, is because of its perfect track record. Everything else that the Bible has predicted, up to the events pertaining to the return of Christ to the earth, has come true. Therefore, because the Bible says that Jesus will literally and physically return to earth, we believe it. This is not a false hope or a vague dream, this is a settled fact based on the absolute evidence of Scripture as verified by its accuracy in history. Jesus must return.
In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.
God wants us to be aware that we are in a spiritual battle. In light of that, please listen to what Dr. David Jeremiah writes in his book titled “I Never Thought I’d See the Day”. The title of this section is “When Christians Wouldn’t Know They Were in a War (Part 17) — Why We Should Not be Intimidated by Satan”.
Yes, we must be knowledgeable about Satan and his determination to destroy us. But that does not mean we should fear him or be intimidated. Randy Alcorn reminds us of Satan’s limitations: “When asked to name the opposite of God, people often answer, ‘Satan.’ But that is false. Michael, the righteous archangel, is Satan’s opposite. Satan is finite; God is infinite. God has no equal.”
What this tells us is that we need not fear Satan. If we have God in our lives, we have within us more power and more protection than any evil can overcome.

CLOSING PRAYER
…….
Now, if you are listening to this broadcast and you do not know Jesus Christ as your saviour, God wants you to accept Jesus Christ before He returns. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Friend of mine, if you are willing to trust Christ as your Savior today, please pray with me the following prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Amen.
Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
