Breaking Prophecy News; The Judgment of the Nations (#110)

Complete Broadcast Text

Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, however it is all about preparation.

First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.

The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ then went on to give them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

China warns of full-scale war in Syria as Lebanese army is deployed to restore calm. According to Al Arabiya News, China’s top state newspaper warned that any Western-backed military intervention in Syria would unleash even bloodier chaos, and said abandoning envoy Kofi Annan’s peace plan could push Syria into the “abyss” of full-scale war, as Lebanese forces managed to restore calm in the northern city of Tripoli after Syria-linked deadly clashes. The People’s Daily, the main newspaper of China’s ruling Communist Party, spelled out the reasons for Beijing’s opposition to a tougher response to the massacre last month of 108 people in al-Houla, which Western and Arab governments blamed on forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad. Meanwhile, Lebanese soldiers and security forces entered areas of the northern city of Tripoli to restore calm after deadly clashes between pro- and anti-Syrian regime gunmen. A security official told the AFP: “There was fierce fighting throughout the night, which killed two people and left 12 injured, bringing the death toll since Saturday to 14 dead and 48 wounded.”

Survey reveals increase in number of ‘worldly Christians’. According to the Christian Post, an online quiz started a year ago that examines how consistently Christians are living out the teachings of Jesus Christ has found an increase in the number of believers who are “Christians in name only.” Brad White, the founder of Changing the Face of Christianity, which created the test, said “The results are disturbing, as 1 in 3 self-proclaimed Christians admit they rarely live the teachings of Jesus Chris. Our mission is to reverse negative Christian stereotypes by helping Christians become more like Jesus Christ. And so, our goal is to work with local churches and to help transform these unChristians into spiritually mature Christians who walk the walk, and better represent our faith to the world.”

Israel to unveil world’s smallest missile. According to Israel National News, Israel’s Rafael Defense Systems will unveil the world’s smallest military missile at the annual Eurosatory “Land and Airland Defense and Security” exhibition in Paris next week. The Mini-Spike electro-optic guided missile is the first missile to implement an anti-personnel precision attack missile. It has a range of approximately three quarters of a mile and is intended for deployment against enemy forces in shelters or trenches.

Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.

Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.

Our topic for today is titled “The Judgment of the Nations” from John MacArthur’s book “The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.” MacArthur writes the following on this subject:

God has promised to judge the nations. We saw in Joel 3:9-16 that God is going to gather the nations together in the Valley of Jehoshaphat for judgment. In Matthew 25:31-46, Jesus verified Joel’s prophecy and stated that this judgment of the nations would occur when He returns to earth in His glory. And in Revelation 14:14-20, the Holy Spirit confirms this judgment of the ungodly on the earth at the end of the Tribulation.

Now, in John 5:22, we saw that all judgment has been committed to the Son. Jesus is also described as Judge in Psalm 2. In verse 6, the father says of the Son, “Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.” Then in verse 8, the Father says to the Son, “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”

If God says, “I’m going to gather the nations at a specific place on the earth to be judged and My Son will be the Judge,” then His Son must return to accomplish this judgment. So, the Second Coming is demanded not only by the program of the church but also by the program of the nations.

In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.
God wants us to be aware that we are in a spiritual battle. In light of that, please listen to what Dr. David Jeremiah writes in his book titled “I Never Thought I’d See the Day”. The title of this section is “When Christians Wouldn’t Know They Were in a War (Part 19) — Satan Has Limitations”.

When you’re out for a walk or a jog and you suddenly see a large, barking dog tearing across a yard toward you, you know what fear feels like. You whisper a prayer, close your eyes, and brace yourself for the worst.

Squinting your eyes open just a fraction, you find that the dog has stopped just at the edge of the yard. He is pacing back and forth, barking like mad, frustrated that he can’t make the leap to get to you. Suddenly you realize that you have been saved by the invisible fence — an electric wire buried in the ground around the perimeter of the property. When the dog gets too close to the wire, it sends a shock to a device on the dog’s collar. The dog has learned it can go just so far without being painfully reined in.

Within its domain, the dog has power to hurt you. But when it is on a leash or contained within an invisible electric fence, you can stand within a couple feet of it without fear of harm.

Christians need to have a healthy respect for the power of Satan. It would be the height of naivete and presumption to have a flippant attitude toward him. But Satan is on a leash. He can go no further than our sovereign God allows. The story of Job demonstrates that lesson clearly. It was only by permission that Satan was allowed to trouble Job. Just as God knew when to end Satan’s troubling of Job, one day He will put an end to Satan’s troubling of us.

CLOSING PRAYER
…….

Now, if you are listening to this broadcast and you do not know Jesus Christ as your saviour, God wants you to accept Jesus Christ before He returns. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Friend of mine, if you are willing to trust Christ as your Savior today, please pray with me the following prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Amen.

Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”

Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
