Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, however it is all about preparation.
First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.
The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ then went on to give them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Powerful typhoon hits Japan and 150,000 people are ordered to evacuate. According to The Telegraph, the most powerful typhoon to strike mainland Japan in eight years has killed one person while a 16-year-old girl remains missing after falling into a flooded river. Typhoon Guchol struck land and travelled along the island of Honshu at a speed of 40 mph before merging into the Pacific Ocean. The weather system recorded winds gusting up to 110 mph, the equivalent force of a category 3 hurricane. The typhoon was accompanied by torrential rainfall. Authorities ordered more than 150,000 people in the path of the storm to evacuate homes that were considered at risk of high waves, storm surges or landslides.
Israel continues steady war preparations. According to World Net Daily, for the past few weeks, U.S. indications and warnings have picked up Israeli long-range strike practice and refueling. While they’re occurring with one or two aircraft at a time, sources report that such practice “seems to be a constant now.” In addition to long-range strike practice runs, sources say there also has been a recall of “key personnel” and further movement of U.S.-supplied anti-ballistic Patriot missiles. The Israelis also have been doing intelligence collection flights, as well as early warning practice, which has been under way for more than a month. The report comes on the heels of other recent indications and warnings about Israeli war preparations. Those preparations include arming and fueling Israel’s nuclear-capable Jericho II missiles and the deployment of covert intelligence ships near Iran for intelligence-gathering and surveillance.
Solar flares fire double sun storm at earth. According to Space.com, an active sunspot is amping up the sun’s activity, and has already unleashed two strong solar flares that triggered weekend geomagnetic storms on Earth. The M-class solar flares set off two coronal mass ejections (CMEs) that erupted from the sun on last Wednesday and Thursday. NASA scientists said the first flare lasted for three hours. The resulting CME was hurled into space directly toward Earth, but was not expected to carry serious effects for the planet because it was traveling at a relatively slow speed. The second solar flare was also considered a long-duration event. The sun’s current cycle began in 2008 and the star’s activity is expected to ramp up toward a solar maximum in 2013.

Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.
Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.
Our topic for today is titled “The Period of the Tribulation (Part 2)” from John MacArthur’s book “The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.” MacArthur writes the following on this subject:
Let us turn our attention to the scene of Revelation 12.
There are three main characters in this chapter: “the woman” is Israel, “the child” is Christ, and “the dragon” is Satan.
Satan, as the prince of the power of the air, has been roaming around heaven accusing the saints of God, but he and his demons are going to get into a war with Michael and his angels. Michael wins the battle and casts Satan out of heaven to earth along with all of his demons. This is really what begins the terrible terror of the Tribulation — the period known as the Great Tribulation.
When Satan and all his demons are thrown out of heaven, and their total domain is in the earth, things start to get active. Verses 12b-14 describe what happens: “Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman (Israel) which brought forth the man child (Christ). And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.”
Here again is the same indication that the Great Tribulation will occupy a period of three and one-half years.
In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.
God wants us to have the right spiritual attitude toward the world as it crumbles around us in these last days. In light of that, please listen to what Dr. David Jeremiah writes in his book titled “I Never Thought I’d See the Day” about the sacrificial mentality that Christians should have.
Paul shocked his Roman readers by introducing to them (and to us) an altogether new idea—the idea of a “living sacrifice.” To be a living sacrifice actually combines the two common meanings of sacrifice.
The term includes the word living, yet we are called on to die. That’s what it means to become a Christian. We die to the people we were when we lived by the power of the sinful nature we inherited from Adam. The old self is laid upon the altar and “killed.” In its place, we receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, by which we live a new kind of life.
Living that new life involves the other definition of sacrifice. Since we “died” to our old selves, we are now new creatures, no longer living under the selfish power of the sinful nature. As new creatures we live a new kind of life, one directed by the power of the Holy Spirit and God’s Word. That new life will be one of giving—of sacrificing our resources, our self-centered wants, our time, for the sake of the kingdom of God.
This radical concept of self-sacrifice, which is the first idea introduced in Romans 12:1–2, is a prerequisite to the second idea: the renewing of our minds. And it is the renewal of our minds that will keep us from being conformed to the world in which we live. We cannot separate the idea of sacrifice from the concept of renewal: No one’s mind will be renewed whose body has not first been given as a living sacrifice to God.
As we can see, these two verses in Romans 12 give us a three-step process: (1) We sacrifice ourselves to God. This empties us of self so that God’s Holy Spirit can step in and (2) transform us by renewing our minds. (3) This transformation will enable us to keep from being conformed to the deadly values of the world.

CLOSING PRAYER
…….
Now, if you are listening to this broadcast and you do not know Jesus Christ as your saviour, God wants you to accept Jesus Christ before He returns. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Friend of mine, if you are willing to trust Christ as your Savior today, please pray with me the following prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Amen.
Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
