Breaking Prophecy News; Israel in the Tribulation, Part 1 (#139)

Complete Broadcast Text

Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, however it is all about preparation.

First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.

The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ then went on to give them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

1. Israel is being warned to prepare for Syrian missile attacks. According to The Guardian Express, as the already unthinkable pace of slaughter in Syria accelerates further, Western military sources warned that not only Israel, but additional strategic targets in the Middle East should prepare for Assad to launch surface-to-surface missile attacks. The assaults would start out with conventional warheads, but as the regime continued to be hammered, the beleaguered ruler might well arm the next round of missiles from his huge stockpile of mustard gas – not to mention sarin nerve poison and cyanide. Western intelligence sources say Assad has a list of targets ready to go. Analyzing the Syrian war games that took place last week, they calculated that on July 11 and 12, the Syrian army practiced shooting missiles at strategic centers in Israel, Turkey and Jordan.

2. Openness to the Gospel is exploding despite tensions in Egypt. According to Mission News Network, Tom Doyle with church building agency, e3 Partners, said that “The mood in Egypt is extremely tense but Egyptians have never been more open to Jesus.” Doyle says over 1 million Muslims have now become believers and have a deep love for Christ. Recently an Egyptian official even went on television saying that 3 million Egyptian Muslims have left Islam and are now Christian believers. These new believers are risking their lives to follow Christ as 82% of Egyptian Muslims believe that if a person leaves Islam, they should be killed. Muslim converts to Christians are often killed, with no response from the government. e3 Team Egypt has planted about 50 churches in the country in the last six months.

3. An armed gang attacked a church youth camp and raped women in Mexico. According to the BBC, Mexican police are searching for an armed gang that attacked a Christian youth camp outside Mexico City. Prosecutors said the gang subjected the campers to an ordeal lasting several hours. Seven girls were sexually assaulted and other youths were beaten. The attackers took cash, cameras and mobile phones and escaped in two stolen vehicles. About 90 members of the Christian youth group were camping in tents in an ecological park about 22 miles outside Mexico City.

The Bible says in Matthew 24:14: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.

Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy, the Second Coming of Christ, and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.

Our topic for today is titled “Israel in the Tribulation (Part 1)” from Dr. John MacArthur’s book “The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.” Dr. MacArthur writes the following on this subject.

The vast majority of Christianity and theology has accepted the notion that God is through with Israel. To believe this leaves only three alternatives to the plain statements of Scripture. The first alternative is to deny the inspiration of Scripture and say, “Well, when the Bible says something is going to happen to Israel, it’s just a mistake.” In other words, if the Bible says that Israel is going to be around in the Tribulation, it’s just an unfortunate mistake.

The second alternative is to destroy the principle of interpretation and just spiritualize it all away. For example: the 144,000 Jewish evangelists during the Tribulation aren’t really Jewish; or the thousand-year Kingdom isn’t really 1,000 years. Everything is just spiritualized away.

The third alternative is to keep everything literal but to see the church as Israel. This destroys the character of God and makes Him out to be a liar because He made promises to Israel that He did not keep.

In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.
Jesus Christ said in Luke 19:13 to “Occupy till I come.”

God wants us to be faithful witnesses for Him in the last days. We should be engaged in spreading the Gospel to those around us. In light of that, please listen to the following from William Fay, author of “Share Jesus Without Fear”:

The Questions You Should Ask

If you want to share Jesus without fear, how do you get started? Starting a discussion about spirituality is often the biggest barrier to sharing your faith in Jesus Christ. Do you wonder how to approach the subject in the midst of everyday conversation? You can make this a much easier task by using the simple technique of asking your friend questions about his beliefs. This technique usually has two benefits. First, your friend may be more obliged to listen to your beliefs once you have listened to his. Second, and more important, this technique allows you to know what is going on in your friend’s life so that you can better minister to him.

Here are a few questions that can move the conversation from a secular topic to a spiritual topic. The questions act as a funnel to introduce the Gospel.

Do you have any kind of spiritual beliefs?
To you, who is Jesus?
Do you think there is a heaven or a hell?
If you died tonight, where would you go?
By the way, if what you were believing is not true, would you want to know?

These five questions, asked in the order given, can move a conversation from the secular to the spiritual. And if your friend answers “yes” to the final question, you will have the privilege of sharing your faith with your friend.

CLOSING PRAYER
…….

Now, if you are listening to this broadcast and you do not know Jesus Christ as your saviour, God wants you to accept Jesus Christ before He returns. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Friend of mine, if you are willing to trust Christ as your Savior today, please pray with me the following prayer: Holy Father God, I realize that I am a sinner. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Amen.

Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”

Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
